LiDAR surveys in the Dominican Republic
Understand the terrain in three dimensions. METAGEO uses drones and LiDAR sensors to capture information that helps analyze the topography and support project planning and development.
What information you can request
The survey is planned around the products you need and how you will use the information. The scope can include:
- Point clouds: three-dimensional information about the area, with classification tailored to the purpose of the work.
- Digital terrain and surface models: representations for analyzing the project area.
- Contour lines and mapping products: deliverables defined for the project’s needs.
How we define the scope
We review the location and extent of the area, site conditions and the intended use of the information. Coverage, resolution, survey controls and deliverables are agreed on that basis.
If your team already has specifications, required formats or a defined coordinate system, share them when you inquire. This helps tailor the proposal to the information your team will actually use.
What to share to prepare the proposal
- Location and approximate size of the area.
- Survey objective and intended use of the results.
- A plan or file that helps identify the area, if available.
- Required products, formats and specifications, if already defined.
Does the quote include every model and format?
The deliverables are identified in the proposal. Tell us how you will use the information so we can define the products and formats your project needs.
Do I need LiDAR or photogrammetry?
The choice is reviewed according to site conditions and the result you need. Our drone photogrammetry service derives information from aerial imagery; we can review with you which scope fits the requested work.
